Give Life to Old Floors
If your floor has seen better days, it may seem the only solution is to tear it up and start again. Florbinder offers a more economical and practical solution for concrete floor restoration. This water-based epoxy primer can be diluted and poured as a solution onto concrete and cement surfaces. It then penetrates deeply into the floor or wall to bind, reinforce and stabilize the screed.
Use As Primer or Sealer
You can use Florbinder to treat green concrete as a curing compound or as a deep penetrating primer for older surfaces ready for painting and finishing.
Easy to Mix, Simple to Apply
This two part epoxy primer is easy to mix with a mechanical paddle and can then be applied using a brush, roller, squeegee or spray. If your surface is particularly porous a second coat may be required. Ensure you have good ventilation to allow sufficient evaporation of the water element and your primer should have sufficiently cured within 16 hours to allow the surface to be accessed again.

Pot life @ 20ºC: 60 Minutes
Viscosity@ 23ºC: 10cps (when diluted)
Drying Times @ 23ºC (one coat system):
Tack free @1 hour;
Hard dry @ 5 hours.
Adhesion to concrete: ³ 3MPa (substrate failure)
(7 days @ 20 ºC)
Do not apply to surfaces previously treated with water repellent chemicals.
Do not apply at temperatures below 5ºC, or if there is a risk of frost during the initial curing period.
Do not use after the pot life quoted above.
Do not apply in poorly ventilated areas.
R.H shall be below 85% during application
Health and Safety
Please refer to separate M.S.D.S.
Observe good hygiene practices.
The substrate shall be clean and free from dirt, dust, oil and grease. Any residues of release agent, existing floor coatings and other contaminants shall be removed by mechanical means, taking care to then remove any dust with an industrial vacuum cleaner.
Pour the contents of the Base component into the container in which the Curing Agent component is supplied. Mix together by mechanical means, e.g. by slow speed drill with paddle attachment, for a period of approx. 2 minutes. Then, slowly add the required quantity of water in 4 separate portions, ensuring that each portion is fully incorporated before the next one is added.
a) For application to green concrete as curing compound
add 2L water per 4kg mixed binder (as supplied). This gives a solids content of 48% approx.
b) As a deep penetrating primer
add 8L water per 4kg mixed binder (as supplied). This gives a solids content of 24% approx.
Apply by brush, roller , squeegee or airless spray at a nominal rate of 0.15-0.20 kg/m².
For porous substrates a second coat may be required, applying this following a minimum drying period of 1 hour for the first coating. The second coat shall be applied at a nominal rate of 0.10-0.15kg/ m².
Clean equipment with Reprotec Toolclean, or a blend of Reprotec Toolclean and water, immediately after use.
For a 2 coat system allow to cure for a minimum period of 16 hours @ 20°C prior to trafficking. Good ventilation is essential to allow satisfactory evaporation of water from the primer.
