K1-70 is a rapid breaking cationic bitumen emulsion designed to be used as a hot applied surface dressing binder, classified according to BS EN 13808:2013 as Bitumen Emulsion C67B2.
K1-70 is a cationic rapid setting bitumen emulsion that contains 67% bitumen. It is a medium viscosity emulsion used mainly for tack coating in normal overlay and patching work. Bitumen emulsion K1-70 is chocolate brown in colour and is a free-flowing liquid at ambient temperature and is also commonly used for Tack-Coating.
K1-70 is a hot Applied surface dressing emulsion designed to adhere chippings to the surface also known as tar & chip.
Surface Dressing prevents the ingress of water giving an existing road surface a longer life.
Industrial Bitumen Emulsion should be spray-applied, following the design guidance, rates of spread and application advise in TRL Road Note 39.
Dispensing taps also available for 200L Drums: 3/4" Brass Tap
Where to use
On surfaces prior to installation of tarmac.
